Explorer Sport Trac in the Market Since the Sport Trac was last offered for 2005, the midsize crew cab pickup segment has become more competitive, with the introduction of the Ridgeline. While High and Low modes are primarily intended for driving in severe weather or off-road, Auto is suitable for everyday conditions. Shifts are fast and barely perceptible. Add to that a composed ride, competent handling and a number of worthwhile safety features, and the Sport Trac stacks up well against the competition. This sport trac is a limited with a 4. Versatile Cargo Box The cargo box is made of composite material, so it won't rust and, with its three storage compartments, offers a lot of versatility for odds and ends of an active weekend.
Had it not been for Wendy, Brian and Brian, I would have walked out. Neal suggested that I bring it in and let his service techs look at it. Lots of accessories available to trick out the truck, I like that. It is very powerful and handles like a sports car. The composite-material cargo box contains three storage bins with drain plugs.
He asked me how my 1970 Grand Prix was doing. No pushy salesmanship, very friendly and the selection of used cars were anything but junk! No small amount of credit for this excellent behavior is due the fully-boxed frame, which is so remarkably stiff that visible movement between the passenger cab and cargo box is essentially undetectable, even under very rough conditions. After keeping it overnight to check for leaks I picked it up the next morning. Frame and Suspension The fully-boxed frame and fully-independent suspension deliver a combination of ride smoothness, handling precision and off-road capability that is particularly noteworthy. The history on the Sport Trac is that it sells for just slightly under invoice, but since the 2007 version is a completely new model it may take a while to establish firmer pricing. The tow package has been nice-towed trailers and campers over the years. Had it not been for the 3 in the new department they would have lost a sale.
Although it has a short bed, I've never had any issues hauling things. The Sport Trac bobs up and down a bit over big bumps, but for the most part trucklike tendencies have been filtered out of the suspension. The black-and-stone leather seats are on the firm side, but are comfortable and provide good support. The seating is quite roomy and comfortable, in both the front and rear, and a long day behind the wheel should prove pleasant. It's quiet and smooth on the road. The Sport Trac has unique interior door releases located on the front of the door armrests; pulling up on the lever opens the door.
I am so thankful we decided to check out West Town Auto, the other dealership simply did not compare! Thank you cfac i have been looking for a car dealership that i can go back to and i have found one in you guys. Super friendly and helpful every step of the way even to a Wildcat fan like myself. I came in June of this year to get our Toyota Highlander serviced and have the Zak-Tek protection applied which is great and went over to see Neal Asaad the General Manager just to say hello. Also they helped me get financed in order to get a vehicle and i have no credit score. Thanks in part to my asst. One gripe: The odd door-pull handles are not at all intuitive even as to where they are, let alone how they work, and some interior designer needs to be sat down in the corner and made to wear a dunce cap. The garage where I was going to take it quoted me several thousand dollars to tear out the old factory air and put in the new one, and keep the car for three days.
Control Trac has three modes — Auto, High and Low — that are selected via buttons on the lower portion of the dashboard. Such a nice car for an affordable price. All- are standard, but brake pedal feel leaves a lot to be desired; stepping on the pedal feels like sinking your foot into a pile of thick clay. The largest is up forward under the cargo floor, requiring crawling into the cargo box to store your stuff, while the equivalent feature in the Honda Ridgeline is conveniently near the rear. So satisfied with the service they offered. Has to be a V-8.
The optional engine is the 4. This is the forth Toyota purchased from them and the service has always been excellent! The vehicle is spacious and roomy just what we needed. The Explorer Sport Trac delivers good towing capacity and versatility, but can't match the fuel economy or value of other vehicles in its class. Good to know there are still trustworthy family owned businesses still out there even if they are Sundevil fans. It feels good knowing i got a great deal on my car. If you want to be able to go just about anywhere, you require some truck-type cargo capacity but not necessarily a lot, you tow a trailer but not necessarily a great big one, and you want the advantages of a separate body-on-frame construction and an available V8 engine, the Sport Trac deserves your attention.
Vehicles are rated using a star rating system from 1-5 stars, with 5 being the highest. Mark the salesman was friendly and in no way pushy to sell us something. It's not quite a sport utility vehicle, and it's not quite a truck. He answered all of our questions honestly. It has performed perfectly all-of this hot summer without any leaks or problems for just a couple of hundred dollars. .
The V-8 drives a six-speed automatic transmission, and they make a very good pair; the automatic willingly when more power was needed for passing and I was able to control how many gears the transmission downshifted by how far I depressed the accelerator pedal. He introduced me to John Farley his fixed operations director and Karl Landerholm his shop foreman. While I was waiting to try to get paperwork done, 3 salesmen were in the used car managers office doing nothing and wouldn't help. When properly equipped, two-wheel-drive V-6 Sport Tracs can pull 5,310 pounds, while V-8 versions can tow up to 6,800 pounds. The Sport Trac's exterior does a good job of striking that delicate balance between street style and off-road character, and the Ford designers have managed to make it look not exactly like a work truck, but not exactly like a soccer-mom sport utility vehicle, either.
Major options include the Limited trim level, which adds fog lamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, step bars, six-way power driver's seat and some other trim items. Reviewers agree that the five-seat sport utility truck is perfect for those who require some truck-type cargo capacity, but don't need an enclosed cargo space or full-size truck bed. The 2007 Ford Sport Trac is the second generation of a vehicle that started a sub-trend: A truck, with sport-utility characteristics, four doors and a rather short cargo bed, and an assortment of ingenious features to enhance the anticipated active lifestyles of its intended buyers. I will definitely go to West Town Auto in the future! Great Experience and i would definitely recommend them to everyone. These guys will be my car dealers from here on out. Truly a Friendly, Fair and Professional Dealership! Although i took awhile to decide, I did not feel rushed or pressured into purchasing just any car. Brian and Phil are eager to give top notch customer satisfaction.
