It appears as though the actors were told to sound as mono-tone as possible, even when their characters were expressing extreme emotions. Catch this show when it's on, and you'll get some laughs out of it. When I first saw the commercials about a new cartoon-series I wasn't really impressed.
There are some pretty crude stuff I suppose. The series centers on the Belchers — parents Bob and Linda, and their children Tina, Gene, and Louise — who run a hamburger restaurant. Which is rare these days. Bob's Burgers is little more than air-time filler sure to be replaced by better programming in the near future. Some of the writers' relatives must be writing reviews, in order to bring it up to a six star rating. I actually laughed out loud at this time after time.
You dont have to go blue to make a great family comedy and it can be a-political. I have news for everyone: New episodes of the Simpsons are trash. I found out that Bob's Burgers was attached to it, so I figured I would watch it to see if it was any good. Bob's Burgers attempts to be sophomoric without humor. The script and dialogue of Tina, Gene and Louise is superb.
I did not find this funny, and I had to find something else to do every time this aired. Bob Belcher is the husband of Linda, the father of Tina, Gene, and Louise, and the main character of the series. I didn't see the pilot but I just saw the second episode and it was interesting and hilarious. I can't believe the amount of flack this show is receiving from the simple-minded and humorless. The humour of a situation slowly evading Bob, mainly, is well accommodated by the episode lengths. While all the characters have redeeming qualities of their own, Louise's character is in my opinion one of the most exuberantly funny.
The plot revolves around a man and his struggling burger joint run by him, his wife and his 3 children. . The quality of animation and illustration leave much to be desired. The youngest daughter, Louise, wears a pink bunny hat, the middle daughter, Tina, is possibly autistic, and finally, the oldest son, Gene, who owns a sound effect gun which can play farts, laser beams, and can project his own voice in a robot voice, which instantly got annoying. On it's premiere night I decide to check it out because there wasn't to much on, and since then I have been a complete fan of the show. The plot was funny, the voices were good. I am so glad to say that Bobs Burger is one of those shows that you will be happy found it's way. So I gave Bob's Burgers a chance. There are so many shows now a days.
The jokes were juvenile and fall flat, the animation is very sub par. Why is Bob so monotone. The Simpsons and you better bring the A game. The entire cast playing the Belchers is spot on and only gets better with each episode. I like funny stuff, but never smiled once watching this. I seriously think that people have forgotten what it's like to watch something that isn't preachy, in-your-face, and blatant.
Bob's monotonous exasperation at his children's outbursts is just hilarious. How could someone give this show ten stars? I must say though, I have a bad feeling Fox is going to boot this show. American Dad and The Cleveland Show are rip-off cash-ins. With new Simpsons and Family Guy episodes failing to entertain less and less with every new episode, Bob's Burgers was a glimmering light at the end of what to me, was a dark, unfunny tunnel. On October 16, 2012, Fox renewed Bob's Burgers for a fourth season consisting of 22 episodes. Lots of variety keeps the show interesting. It is an uninspired offering that doesn't live up to the expectations of the regular viewers of The Simpsons, American Dad, and Family Guy.
